Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Restless Rancor's phpBB development forum. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Accounts

    1. Members may only have one active account. #
    2. If you have forgotten your password you may reset it here. #
    3. If you are unable to login please contact us and we will do our best to assist. Before you do, try the forgot password method from 1b and check the FAQ. #
    4. Staff Members at %sitename% will never ask for your login details. Do not share them with anyone. #
    5. Automated account creation, participation and content scraping is not permitted. Search Engine bots configured in the software are excluded from this rule. #
    6. Banned or Deleted Accounts

      1. Banned Members may not register a new account. #
      2. Permanent bans are permanent. #
      3. If you have received a temporary ban you must wait for it to expire; once it has, you may log into the forum from that account. #
      4. Deleting your account is irreversible. You are warned more than once during the process. #
      5. If you have deleted your account and have not received a temporary or permanent ban, you may register a new account at any time. If you received a temporary ban you must wait for it to expire before registering a new account. #
  2. Content

    1. This is an English speaking forum. Please only post in English. #
    2. You may not post links or suggest the location of any content that may be illegal in your country or the country %sitename% is hosted. This includes, but is not limited to: Copyrighted Material without the owners explicit consent, Cracks, Information Obtained Illegally, Malware, Pornography, Viruses, Warez. #
    3. Extreme political and/or religious views are not permitted. If it is believed that the end result of a discussion will result in an extreme political or religious view or response, the post may be removed. Whilst discussing politics or religion please always consider the opinions and beliefs of others. You may not agree with them, but you must respect them. #
    4. While member post count has meaning, it should not be taken too seriously. Attempts to artificially increase your post count are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: mass creation of posts or topics, only participating in word association game topics, or short and meaningless posts or topics.
      We encourage activity: Providing your content is relative to the discussion and does not interrupt the conversation flow you don't need to be worrying about getting flagged for post count violations. #
    5. Do not post personal and/or identifying information including, but not limited to, your home address, phone numbers, exact location of work. It is illegal to post another persons personal and/or identifying information: refer to rule 2b. #
  3. General Behavior

    1. Respect is the name of the game. You may dislike another member, but you must show them respect. Please refrain from inflammatory and defamatory comments including, but not limited to: flaming, taunting, general disrespect. #
    2. Opinions are opinions. Yours may differ. You may let people know it is different, but must provide a constructive reason as to why it does. #
    3. Staff have the final say on anything. If you have a problem, you may contact us and an Administrator will handle your complaint in a professional manner. Alternatively you may contact a member of The Team; they may refer your complaint to an Administrator if they feel it is necessary to do so. Never contact the person you have an issue with directly. #
    4. Freedom of speech rights do not extend to privately owned websites, such as this one. These guidelines detail the types of behavior and activities that are allowed here. We encourage open-mindedness, but refer to rule 3c. #
  4. Policies

    1. By registering at you agree to our policies and rules. #
    2. Policies and Rules may change over time. It is your responsibility to periodically check for updates, however, we will do our best to inform you if or when changes are made. #
