Re: [RC] User's Post Count on Index

v1.0.0-RC2 was denied by the validation team for a number of reasons.
I'll be working on their suggestions over the Christmas break and will re-submit the extension for validation once they are corrected.

phpBB 3.2.4

I've updated the board to phpBB 3.2.4 today.

Extension development has been slow for the last few weeks. I'm focusing on college, but also waiting for validation results of the User's Post Count on Index extension.

More to come soon

Almost time for validation

My Attachment Shields and User's Post Count on Index extensions are almost ready for validation. It's been a very educational process and I'm looking forward to seeing how they do in the validation process. I've heard the Extension Validation team at phpbb.com are very helpful for recommending chan...

Re: display: none; in css

I should have done some more testing: I didn't need to define the <dd> 's and can simply use: div.inline-attachment dl.file { display: none; } dl.file{ display: none; } This method doesn't seem to work for flash files as they don't seem to be defined in the CSS, but as Flash has been handed it's EOL...

Cleaning up code: key-value lookups

Pre-Release 0.2.3-beta of my Attachment Shields extension had some rather messy php if statements to push data to the templates. I knew using so many if statements wasn't optimal: if ($this->config['ashields_file_style'] == 0) { $template->assign_vars(array( 'ASHIELDS_FILE_STYLE' => '?LongCache=tru...

Slow loading

I've been conscious that the forum has been taking a while to load each page.

I've run an analysis and removed some unnecessary extensions- this should improve load speeds.

Style selector for Attachment Shields

I tasked myself with adding a Style selector for the Attachment Shields extension today and have been succesfull. I'm not 100% about how it's handled and am sure it can improve, but what I've done is add a standard options drop-down in adm/style/acp_ashields_body.html : <select name="ashields_style...

Color settings

I had a little trouble getting a text input box configured properly for use as a HTML color setting for the shields in Attachment Shields . It wasn't too difficult getting it working within the ACP: $this->config->set('ashields_color', trim($this->request->variable('ashields_color', $this->config['...

Global enable/disable configuration

I've spent today adding a global enable/disable setting to User's Post Count on Index . I wasn't able to find any documentation on this, so took a look at multiple different extensions which have such a function to see how they are working. I was eventually able to get it working in the ACP module:...
